Educational Use Only — Important Notice
GETI is a learning platform. All content on this site — including market data, news summaries, AI outputs, and watchlist information — is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Data may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete and must not be relied upon for real-time investment decisions. Please consult a qualified professional before making any investment decision. (See §12 and §13 below for details.)
Effective Date: February 19, 2026
Last Updated: February 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and related services provided by TIE Academy, Inc., a Connecticut corporation (“TIE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the GETI learning platform (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1) Definitions
“GETI” means the Service’s learning framework: Geopolitics, Economics, Technology/Innovation, and Investment/Markets/Risk.
“User” means an individual who accesses or uses the Service.
“Account” means a registered user account for the Service.
“Basic” and “Premium” mean membership tiers with different access rights.
“Course” or “Program” means a class, cohort, membership offering, subscription, or one-time offering available through the Service.
“Parent Account” means an adult account that may create and manage one or more Child Profiles. “Child Profile” means a dependent profile created by a Parent Account (for organizational/enrollment purposes).
“Content” means text, images, files, links, posts, replies, videos, recordings, briefings, prompts, and other materials made available through the Service, including user-generated content.
2) Eligibility; Adults as Primary Users; Account Approval
Adults (18+) for Account Holders. The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an Account.
Admin Approval Required. Account creation and/or access may require approval by an admin. We may approve, reject, suspend, or revoke Accounts at our discretion.
Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and keep it updated, including your real name if requested for community trust and safety.
Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your Account.
3) Family Accounts and Child Profiles
Parent-Controlled. Parent Accounts may create Child Profiles for enrollment and dashboard organization. Child Profile data is intended to be minimal (e.g., name and date of birth; email optional).
You represent that you are the child’s parent/legal guardian (or otherwise authorized) for any Child Profile you create and that you have authority to provide the information.
Unless expressly enabled by TIE, Child Profiles are not independent user accounts and do not provide direct child login access.
4) Privacy and Consent
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. Where required, we may request additional consent steps (including for Child Profiles).
5) Membership Tiers and Access Controls
Features and access depend on your membership tier and entitlements. Basic users may view selected dashboard content and other read-only areas as configured. Premium users may access additional features such as interactive discussions, shared files, archives, and course resources, as configured.
TIE may enable or disable features by tier, course, cohort tag, enrollment status, and time-based access rules. You agree not to bypass paywalls, access controls, or entitlement checks.
6) Courses/Programs: Enrollment, Join Codes, and “Pay Then Approve”
You may browse Courses and request enrollment. Some Courses require a join code. Join codes are controlled by admins and may be rotated or revoked at any time.
For Courses requiring approval, you may be required to pay first; however, access remains locked until admin approval. If you are not approved, access will not be granted.
Enrollment may close at any time, and no one may enroll on or after a Course end date (if specified). Course access may be restricted by cohort tags and join codes.
7) Payments, Subscriptions, and No-Refund Policy
Payments are processed by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. Subscription plans may renew automatically until canceled. If you cancel, access generally continues until the end of the current billing period.
Except where required by law, all payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds. If payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or restrict access until resolved.
8) Time-Based Access to Recordings and Archives
Access to class recordings, video libraries, files, and archives may be limited to the periods during which you held a valid entitlement (e.g., Premium membership and/or an active course enrollment). Unless explicitly granted, you may not access materials from periods when you were not entitled.
9) Community, Bulletin Boards, and Uploaded Files
You agree to engage respectfully and lawfully. We may remove or restrict Content, lock threads, mute/ban users, or take other actions to protect the community and comply with law. Uploaded files or posts may require admin approval before being visible.
10) Acceptable Use (Prohibited Activities)
You agree not to violate laws or regulations; post unlawful, harmful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or infringing content; disclose sensitive personal information about others (especially children); attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, distribute malware, or disrupt the Service; scrape, reverse engineer, or copy the Service or Content beyond permitted use; misrepresent identity or affiliation; or use the Service for spam, manipulation, or deceptive conduct.
11) User Content and License
You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant TIE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and create necessary technical adaptations of your Content solely to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service. Your posts may be visible to course cohorts or global boards depending on settings.
12) AI Features and Educational Nature (No Professional Advice)
The Service may include AI tools (e.g., summarization, translation, topic tagging, GETI Copilot). AI outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or biased; you should verify critical information. Content is for educational purposes and does not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for your decisions.
13) Market Data, Watchlists, and Third-Party Services
Watchlists and market data are provided to support learning and discussion, not investment advice. The Service may show embedded or linked third-party content (e.g., YouTube) and market data sourced from third parties (e.g., Financial Modeling Prep). Availability and accuracy are not guaranteed, and your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies.
14) Intellectual Property
The Service (including software, design, trademarks, and official materials) is owned by TIE or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.
15) Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations, non-payment, security risks, legal compliance, or integrity of the community. You may stop using the Service at any time.
16) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
17) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
18) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TIE from claims arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
19) Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
20) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms and revise the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
